Wondering if God is calling you to ordained ministry?

Read the pamphlet below to help answer that question.

IS GOD CALLING YOU TO ORDAINED MINISTRY?

GETTING STARTED

If you are sensing God's call to pastoral ministry, the following
are the steps to take to begin the ordination process:

STEP 1
Contact your local pastor and share your desire to respond to God's call upon your life to pastoral ministry. If you are not a member of a local Free Methodist Church, talk to your pastor about membership classes.

STEP 2
Enter into a "Learning Contract" (See Local Ministerial Candidate's Handbook) with the pastor (or designee) who will mentor you through the process.  The pastor shall decide when you are ready to be recommended to the local board of administration to be considered as a local ministerial candidate.

STEP 3
After being licensed by the local church, file a transcript of all post-secondary credits, an Enrollment Form and a signed copy of your Local Ministerial Candidate Check List to Ministerial Credentialing Services (See back of Local Ministerial Candidate Handbook for forms.)  Your transcripts will be evaluated and a letter sent to you outlining the courses you will need to complete the educational requirements for the ordination process.
